Shelby-Rising City Public Schools

For the seventh year, the fifth grade participated in the annual science fair.  Students have been participating in various scientific activities. Students then had time to research and plan an experiment themself. Many of the students chose to do the activities with their parents, while others used school materials to conduct the experiments. Once the students conducted the experiment, time was spent creating boards with information and data collected. Fifth-grade students presented to the upper elementary and to their parents. Students were then evaluated and given awards. The winner was Annabella Giddings who explored the school to see how clean it was. Other experiments included ones on fishing lines, bubble gum, sleep, cats, twin telepathy, and weather reporting accuracy.
